Thread 01 · Operator obligations under the PROG Act 2025
The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 added a verification and intermediary-obligation framework between a real-money skill-game operator and the intermediary through which its product reaches a reader. The substantive change for adult readers is the KYC-and-payouts obligation chain: an operator that exposes real-money play is responsible for both the game's rules and the rails on which funds move. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology publishes the underlying notifications; readers can confirm the current text at the Ministry's site rather than relying on third-party summaries.
Thread 02 · Pool lobby size and multi-account conventions
Pool lobbies at major Indian operators commonly run six players per table with a per-account three-table ceiling at peak hours. Multi-accounting — that is, registering more than one account per PAN — is treated as a strict-liability offence; the operator's T&Cs close the account and forfeit any balance on detection. We have not audited each operator's enforcement record; readers should treat multi-accounting as a deliberate breach rather than a grey area.
Thread 03 · Wild joker convention drift
The wild joker at a 13-card table is the rank of the face-up card revealed when the closed stock is first turned. Drift in convention appears in subtle forms: some operators restrict the wild joker to one substitution per impure sequence at declaration; some cap total substitutions across the hand; a few limit substitutions to lower-value cards. Read the table's published rules sheet before committing; the convention is consistent within an evening but varies between operators.
